1 Tablespoon Karo syrup (corn syrup)
1 Cup brown sugar
- Melt and cook over medium heat above ingredients, stirring enough not to let it stick.
- Let boil briskly about a minute.
- Take off heat.
Add and stir in:
1/2 cup milk or light cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
-- If this doesn't dissolve, put back on low heat, but don't boil as it will curdle.
- Enjoy
