Milk-Free Alfredo Sauce

*This is more of a garlic sauce to use in place of alfredo because alfredo sauce typically uses cream and cheese, but it tastes delicious.

1/4 cup margarine or shortening
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
-Make into a Roux (a fried paste used to start sauces).
ADD
2 cups rice milk
cracked pepper (as much as you like)
1 tablespoon Italian dressing
1/2 teaspoon sugar
                        - Bring to a boil.
                        - Take off heat.
ADD
8 ounces soy cream cheese
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
more pepper

                        - Stir or whisk until smooth.

Pour over noodles and stir until evenly coated.
